I believe that low self esteem is a societal problem more than an individual problem. Men and women are both pounded with societal messages that constrain them. Culturally social media is contributing to young people feeling even worse about themselves and I notice clients have such a hard time getting off it.

You may feel like you are never good enough or are never doing enough. You may not finish or complete things because it never feels good enough. You may feel guilty, you feel you’re not a good enough partner, friend, worker, person. You stay late at work because you feel you are never doing enough.

Together we will help you feel better about yourself and act differently with a new found confidence.

We will do this both through a lot of validation and exploration around the cause of your low self esteem and ways to begin to let go of judgements. We will do this by helping you recognize your strengths, helping you get more in touch with your thoughts and feelings underlying anxiety, and helping you learn how to reframe your thinking to build a more realistic perspective. Next we will use therapy to practice communication skills to help put your new found confidence into practice.
